0 Lewis Garner
Our MK1 rims are aluminium, and to add to today's useless information, an inflated ferret tyre on a rim is 75 kilograms. That's a definite hernia to get spare back on its mount single handed! Regards, Lewis Edited October 15, 2010 by Lewis Garner

Thats a definate hernia to get spare back on its mount single handedregards lewis .....-a measly 75kgs? ..... you ought to try manhandling a saracen wheel/tyre, (or 6!) around,.... I reckon they are getting on for around 180-200kgs each!:undecided:

You beat me to it Mike, once had a puncture on an inner rear on way to Stonleigh back in the 90's, I just left it untill we got there and there were plenty of willing helpers around to gve me a lift ! 0 MiketheBike
I did try putting the spare back on, but ended up using a trolley jack...your right though, its "almost " light enough to lift.
0 simonm
I have a special device that identifies what is too heavy to lift. Its called a wife. "You're out of your mind if you think your going to lift that on your own!"
