  1. Thanks for sharing these images, I hadn't seen a good deal of them before. Has anyone who owns one of these vehicle models ever displayed them as such? Would make an interesting change.
  2. Despite it being my favourite war film, A Bridge Too Far does have a Leopard 1 driving over 'Arnhem' bridge. Sadly about 20 years too early and an even bigger shame how much effort was made into ensuring the Allied equipment was pretty much spot on. For those into podcasts this one is worth a listen: Fighting On Film | a podcast by Fighting on Film (podbean.com) - especially as they have a section which regularly talks about vehicles and armaments on display.
  3. I thought I recognised this one. Here is an image I took all the way back in June 2004 at Kemble Military Vehicle Show. Looks to be in a similar position to the one above from t he opposite side.
  4. Good to hear of some progress again, keep at it as there are no doubt plenty of watchers of this thread who are interested.
  5. They have a Facebook group: (1) Museum of RAF Fire Fighting | Facebook which I think should be able to help you out Willy. Keep sharing the images - great to see!
  6. If you're active on Facebook then there are some knowledgeable people on here: Austin Gipsy Owners Club. | Facebook As Tony says there are the usual factors to consider. Have noticed Gipsy prices starting to go up in recent years though.
  7. Only got to know him in the last few years after being introduced at W&P but as has already been said - what a great guy and gentleman he was. RIP Roger.
  8. Hope this picture is of interest. I last saw this one in 2011 (can't believe it will be ten years next year) when there was a special celebration of the Diamond T at the Great Dorset Steam Fair. I seem to remember it was either a non-runner or there were some engine issues which led to it not being able to move during the week - still it was there and added to the numbers. Worth asking on here as well: https://www.facebook.com/groups/256851264370328
  9. Yes it is still active, you should be able to find it here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2023327377915573
  10. The K2 is back up on Milweb: https://www.milweb.net/webvert/a4933/99253
  11. This thread seems to have hidden itself somewhat in another thread. I'm sure we would all appreciate seeing some pictures from those 40 years.
  12. I think this is the third time they've had to move now. If Scampton is saved, whenever it does close, hopefully they can return to their original home of many years.
  13. Looking good. Enjoying this thread, especially as all the work appears to be happening on your driveway and garage.
  14. Hi, have sent you a DM about it.
  15. Speaking with a friend he suggests that the No23 would've been applied at a HO Depot when in storage. Have you ever heard of The Green Machine book - will be of interest.
  16. Great stuff! What is the history of this one, if you don't mind me asking, former showland vehicle after demob?
  17. Looks like one may exist still:
  18. Scammell Crusader and another Scammell on a low loader going clockwise on the M25 at Junction 17 on Saturday 17 January.
  19. I'm sure in the early years they were included in certain editions. May be worth dropping the Editor a line in case there is anyone in house who can help with your request.
  20. Just logged onto the iPlayer to have another look and got the attached screengrab. Think we can say that it is indeed an AEC Militant. Well worth a look at the beach scene on episode 5 about 39 minutes in for anyone interested.
  21. Anyone spot the AEC Militant cab which was near to an explosion on the beach scene from two episodes ago? A shame as they did manage to get some of the period vehicles correct.
  22. Great to see and hear that the Militant has had a good first road-run. Really interesting to see this project continuing to come together.
  23. Really good to see progression on this interesting vehicle. I continue to follow it with admiration and look forward to seeing the finished product. Thanks for providing the updates and pictures.
  24. Spotted the Dodge Command Car heading back up the M40 on a trailer on Sunday afternoon. It has already been listed on Milweb!
