  4. Wally Just found an image of my dad with his mum, dad and nan in front of Old Joe in 1965 or 66 at Ranby Camp, Retford. Not a very good image I know.
  5. Wally Many thanks I don't suppose you know if the new owner is part of this forum or who it is. Regards Dave H
  6. First of all many thanks for letting me join. Secondly absolutely fantastic forums with lots of excellent info. Always been interested in old military vehicles since a young age. Unfortunately i'm not mechanically minded and don't have the kind of money to buy and restore old vehicles. I must congratulate all those that do and save these pieces of history from the scrap heap.
  7. Does anyone know the whereabouts of DT 23YZ80 that used to be in transport museum Beverley and another called Old Joe. I would like to take some photos of these as my dad used to drive both. Do have a photo of Old Joe somewhere will try and find then post Many thanks
  8. My dad used to drive this as well. The sign on top (which I assisted with as a child) had to be made when taking comet from Leconfield to Harrogate for Thundercloud filming at Harrogate. My dad was the last one to drive it I believe for military use.
