  1. Cheers Nick. It's a long way from home, but if my team play Lowestoft again next season I may have to go for the weekend and have a look. Scott
  2. This must have been the one I spotted on the M6 near junction 5 on Thursday afternoon.
  3. Cheers, that's why I love this forum - answers almost straight away! Will have a look online about the museum.
  4. Spotted one the other day on the M6 near junction 5 going northbound, reg I think - MVS 639, on the back of a low loader. Looked in pretty good nick.
  5. Spotted a Humber 4x4 PU Utility outside a pub on the A146 between Norwich and Beccles on my travels yesterday. Looked very nice indeed in the spring sunshine. Sadly couldn't stop.
  6. Couple from the last few days: Thursday 9th April at around mid-day on the M6 near junction 5 going northbound a Scammell Explorer, reg I think - MVS 639, on the back of a low loader. Looked in pretty good nick. Saturday 11th April - Humber 4x4 PU Utility outside a pub on the A146 between Norwich and Beccles. Looked very nice. On the same day a number of aircraft, seemingly at a museum, just outside Bungay on the way to Diss.
  7. Here in Cannock we have a number of sightings of supposed UFOs each year flying over Cannock Chase. The latest one came just a week ago following a very loud sound passing over: http://www.cannockmercury.co.uk/UFO-Drone-just-simply-fighter-jet-skies-Cannock/story-26259277-detail/story.html In reality it is F15 Fighter Jets flying overhead on their way to Wales, however numerous people still believe that they are unidentified flying objects! I should imagine that a few towns on the flight path get stories like this. Scott
  8. I love when we get (or I spot) WW2 stories to write about at work. This one being a prime example after I spotted the initial post on twitter: http://www.cannockmercury.co.uk/Snap-Cannock-taken-WW2-turns-USA/story-26253982-detail/story.html Anyway I've since found out a little bit more where the picture was taken in Cannock, however I was wondering if there was a way of finding out which particular division the GI (I think it was as eye witnesses report so) belonged to? Scott
  9. Must say that looks blooming lovely in olive drab. Top work! Scott
  10. Have you tried WW2 Talk? http://ww2talk.com/forums/forum/4-main-ww2-talk-forum/ They are pretty good at giving answers on this kind of stuff.
  11. I see, now understand the (1989) bit. Will be good to see it out and about again.
  12. Some more pictures here on top of the excellent ones on this thread. http://www.series2club.co.uk/forum/forum/index.php/topic,77878.0.html Has there been a date set yet do we know?

  14. Nice. Despite being a fellow Midlander I can't recall seeing this one out and about.
  15. Now that would be something to see. I'm guessing two would be the ones pictured below which I stumbled across last year on the 6th June: Scott
  16. The second picture down in an Austin 7 military tourer. Nice pictures, thanks for sharing. Scott
  17. Hopefully you will be able to see this one by following the link below: http://www.fun-fairs.co.uk/topic/71580-t-whitelegg-sons-thornycroft-amazon-vanguard/ Scott

Just been flicking through the Wheels and Tracks magazines I've acquired and came across the picture below. I'm 99.9% certain that it's the same vehicle in the attached link. What a beauty!
  19. Here we go, this is how it looks now. I took this at Arromanches last year on the 6th June. Scott
  20. Thanks for the pictures Adrian, have received your email and the owner is over the moon with them. Just at work at the moment Gordon, will post some up later this evening. Scott
  21. That would be great Adrian. I have dropped you a DM.
  22. A friend of mine owns the Scammell Pioneer in this attached scan. After acquiring a set of Wheels & Tracks magazine I noticed the picture and sent it across to my friend who confirmed that it was his Scammell (it looks a lot different now). Anyway he asked if there was somehow a chance of getting hold of the original photo. I know it's a very long shot but does anyone know of Mr A G Warner or have possibly pictured the vehicle yourself when in this guise? Any help much appreciated, Scott

Very nice. I know not to everyone's liking but if I brought it then I'd be tempted to keep it in it's post service guise. Certainly something very different.
  24. Thanks for the responses so far. I too felt that it was perhaps a little high for a 15 cwt. The picture might be a little deceiving though?
