You can feel proud of a very hard job done very well ! . While it all looks fine just the way you did it , I understand your wanting it to be more correct rolled edge as to folded but unless one was up close or someone told you how it was different I dont think many would know .With each part of the project thats completed you adding years and years to its life that no small thing .

So very Sorry to hear of your misfortune, Thank goodness it wasn't any worse. By the way what was this nasty piece of Iron ? a transfer case or other MV related part or ?? I ll have the good grace not to ask how it fared as if it happened to me I d have given the !!!!!! a massive thrashing with the nearest hammer provided I did it no lasting harm. It would be theraputic for pain control you see.

Found this training film on the workings of air brakes systems thought it might be of interest to those folks that have air brakes on their Vehicles , while this is primarily for U.S. vehicles the principles are the same .

The hoist is different from the original Heil or Garwood units as both had a single ram or cylinder and the original hoist frame was only 8' roughly of the 12' dump body as shown by the other photo's posted with the partition panel being raised inside the dump body .
Seems one of the H and S types has just found rover's deposit . No sign of any drive for the flail and no blast shield for the engine seems only half of the chain's as skinny as they are are present .
