  5. No you did'nt mis-understand I didnt know what the FAT-5 looked like for sure and guessed it might be if it was in the snow, since the FAT -5 was rated for cold weather conditions . Thanks for showing me your Morris.
  6. A photo of what looks like a Morris Commerical C8 Mk III in Italy, crewed by New Zealand soldiers. Perhaps they are using the vehicles winch to assist vehicles up the hill just out of the photo to the right ?Of course the caption is wrong about being an APC. Could this be a FAT-5? New Zealand soldiers taking a break near rear of armored personnel carrier as transport trucks and ambulances push on towards the front lines through deep snows somewhere in the Ortona sector during the Allied push to oust German troops from Italy. Location: Italy Date taken: 1944 Photographer: George Rodger

  8. Hello Jack , Thanks for the note on the photo's . While I have searched through many archives and gathered many photo's , it would seem I am doing something wrong as I can see what I have posted is being viewed , few are commenting. I don't want to bore the members and don't want to break rules or make the Mods. mad ....I seem to spend as much time finding things as trying to find places to post them lol .

  13. On the CCKW I brought back from the Netherlands it had been fitted with a battery cut off switch that required a plunger type of key to operate . The fact is given enough time and determination anything can be taken by someone , the smaller the vehicle the easier it is to be taken especially at a show or parked away from home . At home I d say keep it garaged or covered and well anchored < the bigger the chain or cable the better >. In all cases I d also mark the vehicle permanently with welding marks or etching / engraving pens in several places so if it goes missing you have more than one method to identify it . The alarms and trackers are a good idea .
  14. A bit of every kind of bump and surface . Look's like everyone had a bit of fun !
