  1. She just needs a touch with a pressure washer, to separate the metal from the metal eating vegetation , seems to attract the moss .
  2. Seems that with a bit of time he should have been able to dig himself out , not like the other excavators I seen that were submerged well up to the engines in water and mud and no solid ground for a distance around. But then You would not have had the chance to put your Samson to a bit of work and got him out in a shorter time.
  3. Each design has something going for it ,while the closed cab is warmer and dryer in rain and winter but noisier out on the road at speed and bit less head room and can be locked , the open cab has more shoulder and head room and better ventilation in the summer and in parades , it doesn't seem as noisy as there is less metal around you to bounce it off of . To me the open cabs of all Military Vehicles just look right , the closed cabs reflect more of the civilian origins a conversation and not a purpose built design. here's a longer ride along in a open cab CCKW Something went wrong...

  13. It seems most of the really good stories involve things buried in locations or sites that one could never dig to confirm , hence the allure of it being believable . Or on the other hand take for example a story handed down in one family of a great great relative who was a watch maker inscribing a note inside Abraham Lincoln's pocket watch about the start of the American Civil War which only recently was in fact confirmed as true by the experts at the Smithsonian Institute.
