  3. Yes, its a good design and a great addition to making a more complete authentic military tent display . I m sure lots went to the camping surplus dealers and have been trashed when people went to compressed gas cylinders for ease of use . Nice find.

  6. thanks for the information , perhaps it survived ,what was its main problem ? too complex IE not reliable ?, too heavy?
  7. can be defective switch , you could disconnect and see if it stops then or could be deposits on the cylinder head or the pistons which when they get hot can be enough to cause engine to diesel for a little while , in which case you need to clean them out , perhaps using an octane boost would help until you take the engine apart .
  8. Fantastic to see that back to original shape and color. who knows if it would have lasted much long as you found it ...might have been melted down . Now it will someday be in a museum , when its day at show's have ended. :thankyou:
  9. you just might be . I d limit exposer just in case and you should give notice to those around you that if you begin to circle the lamp or get to near to cut it off lest you get some very nasty serious burns. ;-)

  11. So many goodies , so little time . When I visited there in the late 80's they had two prototype halftracks for testing, I recall they had Land Rover fronts :schocked: with some kind of British tank track system for the rear half. I wondered if any one knew what became of them ? :dunno:
  12. Was it the contacts being different as you said earlier or ? . what are the plans for the working unit now ? will you display it with your vehicle ? , what will happen to the other unit ?
  13. Do Pray tell of the pink ones fate ,as of these last several months time ? :?Was it in fact taken by someone or did IT posse someone ?? :dunno: I say does it still hides :-o as it is clearly of the unholy undead verity , mocked and abused crushed and soiled but still it exists!!!! surely :shake: Its return has been forsworn ;-) Let not its seeming pale color fool you , are not the ones who seek the night fair of skin ! :eek2: and be of the DARK SIDE If only is was confined that Island Realm , I feel in my bones it travels the world searching for its next Victim  Be not afflicted by the condition known as O.D fever and you may be spared it's curse

  20. Thank you for the information I d not know the manufacturer for sure , I attended a local parade not long ago in which there was a brand new farm tractor most likely then a "CAT" that had a simular sized track and sprocket assemble although the cab was more like that of a conventional farm tractor engine in front < the blade end> and the cab in the rear < the large sprocket end> .
