  1. I'm not sure Chris, trying to remember which dealer I bought it from. It was a while ago now and it doesn't always get used for what you might think! 🙂 Andy
  2. My deac SMG has a KR prefix and a smooth finish. Andy
  3. Just be aware from experience that "Speedy" is the name of the business, not their modus operandi ... 🙂 Andy
  4. I wondered who bought that! I recall there was a plaque with the T69 with some history - wasn't it a gate guard at one stage? Andy
  5. I know, it was a real mess when I last saw it. They've done a really good job with it, I spent quite a lot of time last night watching videos. The braking and steering mechanism is interesting and I didn't realise that the air starter wasn't just a pneumatic starter motor. Andy
  6. A quick Google brings up several of those currently on eBay? Andy
  7. Perhaps he means not a "bitza" made from spare parts? Andy
  8. Interesting, isn't it? Both are perfectly valid arguments yet diametrically opposite. It will all depend on individual perception of risk. Andy
  9. On a slightly different tack, a number of events, military and otherwise, have now been postponed until September. I have to wonder, even if HMG regulations allow them by then, how many people would turn up anyway? No-one, especially the organisers, would want to see half empty fields or exhibition halls. A clean break until next year might be better all round? Andy
  10. Aha - "Support to the Civil Powers" 🙂 Andy
  11. I'd be more concerned that it looks suspiciously like a "needing to be seen to be doing something" action rather than anything particularly useful. That's how we got saddled with the EU deactivation nonsense. Andy
  12. The User Manual says (hint!): 606. In an emergency, the vehicle may be towed FORWARD up to half a mile without too serious a risk of causing damage without disconnecting the propeller shaft. In NO CIRCUMSTANCES must the vehicle ever be towed in REVERSE. 607. If towing for a greater distance is necessary, report to R.E.M.E. for instruction. 608. An 'A' frame towing bar should be used and the towing speed must not exceed 10 mile/h. However, very slow speed short distance moves in and out of a barn, for example, shouldn't hurt - we've all done it. The issue is that unless the gearbox input shaft is turning, its internal oil pump isn't running. Andy
  13. My Sigma undercoat was a delightful shade of pink! Andy
  14. That would be an interesting one, Clive - I've never managed to find a copy so did my own Clansman installation based on a 352 and associated control harness. Mark - I have several of these already PDF'd but remember that strictly speaking they are still classified and therefore subject to the Official Secrets Act. That may seem silly, but it's fact unless someone can get MOD to agree they are no longer classified. Andy
  15. You'll need proprietary information that you'll never get out of the OEM. 😞 Andy
  16. But ONLY if there's a means of communicating with them! Andy
  17. I don't see how anyone can remotely shut the vehicle down unless they can somehow communicate with it? Andy
  18. It's got caught by the same problem I had with trying to build a barn - a statement of need saying why it can't be built elsewhere. That's unfortunately almost impossible. The fact that it's on land you own rather than land you don't is apparently irrelevant. 😞 Andy
