A true sphincter puckering moment............ it's not as if you can sit in there with her and grab the handbrake if it all goes pear shaped.

Did you have a plan as to where you would live if it all went horribly wrong

.........you know........ like she decided to take a short cut :-D

Hi sara here

need more info, but.....you have to test each one to see if any charge is coming out of the generator itself....If there is no charge the generator is u/s, 'cause it's got two generators. You can put the plug on and it looks like none of the fuses have blown but if its not generating any power then its the gen thats not right. you only need the gen at the front as the rear gen is not nec for the running of the engine. If thats the case you can either buy a gennie from 15,ooo from army recon or 500 sec hand.

hope this helps...

sara

okay but there must be an equivalent material, will have a look around, want a sticky vinyl or something.,..in grey or green or beige...

Paul,

The original material was Dunlop Trackmark and also used for deck covering on yachts and boats. Understand it is no longer available, but there must be a substitute, try boating suppliers.

Now as everybody knows GKN Sankey of Wellington Shropshire developed and built all the FV432's. Like F*** they did, as Geoff Fletcher said in his recent CMV first article in a series on the subject "7 were built at ROF Woolwich" but he didnt have any photos to back his statement up.

However I can show the Wooden mockup in paternmakers shop Woolwich, rollout of first prototype between building 19&22 with the proud crew in attendance, plus the first properFV432 with side mounted exhaust and air con on sides and a local sidcup civil registration which predates most Sankey products by 12 to 18 months.

Once Sankey got contract Woolwich ceased any manufacturing and the fate of the running prototypes was the gas mans torch along with all construction jigs, sounds like TSR2 over again. From then on Woolwich town fell apart.
