Snapper Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Looks like a PzIII, doesn't appear small enough to be a PzII. Good stuff. M Quote
Rlangham Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 It's definitely a Panzer II http://mailer.fsu.edu/~akirk/tanks/Slovakia/PanzerII.jpg The eight wheeler is an Sd.Kfz 233 Quote
Kuno Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Panzer ll, there are more pics of that particular vehicle somewhere. Amazing that in 1943 such outdated tank was still in service... Quote
Enigma Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Panzer ll, there are more pics of that particular vehicle somewhere. Amazing that in 1943 such outdated tank was still in service... The Germans even used WW1 , Renault FT 17's in 1944. Quote
AlienFTM Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I must admit that PzKpfw3 was the first thing that crossed my mind but: The hull doesn't look level, which simply didn't look right for a 3. The turret doesn't like wide enough for a 3. The driver's vision slit occupies too much of the front plate (suggesting the whole thing isn't as wide as it looks. The gun slits in the mantlet scream 2 at me. The 3 always had a proper mantlet. Quote
