john1950
I was looking at a Scammell and solid tyred trailer being unloaded at a ship, I realised it was a tank being lifted, on closer inspection the reg number is 19 ZR 19. I wonder if anyone has any information on it.
David Herbert
I can't tell you just from the army reg but ZR numbers are WW2 vehicles that have been re-registered into the post war system. It is a shame that you weren't able to take a photo. David
07BE16
I believe 19ZR19 was part of a batch of serials allocated to Comets Richard

Noel7
The lists which the Miniature Armoured Fighting Vehicle Association used to have on their website, before they changed host a few years ago, included 19ZR11 to 19ZR91 as a Comet sequence. oldscaley
hello all, my first post/question, trying to understand more - my father was REME, and circa, June 56 through October 57, was attached to 1 RTR (According to his service record) he was a full screw Electrician at the time. I think he was with the battalion on a move from UK, towards Suez ? in 56, back to the UK, then out to Hong Kong, Have 1 picture (i think) from this period, think it looks like a Comet registration 10 ZR 57, which seems pertinent to this thread. (Happy to be corrected on vehicle type) please see attached, got a feeling i need a trip to Bovington, Is there a vehicle registration archive i can refer to? or perhaps is it something to look at within the unit historical records?
