Ron Posted December 10, 2023 Share Posted December 10, 2023 This is the type fitted to all the Triumphs Pawel. There were some vey good reproductions but I think the firm closed down. I found this last one for my WB30 in USA. There might be some cheap India versions? Ron Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
pawelcen Posted December 10, 2023 Author Share Posted December 10, 2023 For now, I'll put on the sliding chrome one at the top of the photo. I will look for the original. Pawel Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ron Posted December 10, 2023 Share Posted December 10, 2023 Yes that is the next best thing "ENOTS" tap. But keep your tank topped up as you have no reserve🤪 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ron, the middle one has a smaller plunger thingie, so postwar. Lex Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
pawelcen Posted December 13, 2023 Author Share Posted December 13, 2023 (edited) No 9? 🙂 Edited December 13, 2023 by pawelcen Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
welbike Posted December 13, 2023 Share Posted December 13, 2023 Ok, when I click on the link I get a different picture! yes, number 9. At least that is the same as Ron shows on his Triumph, James ML used the same tap by the way. Grtz, Lex 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

pawelcen Posted February 6 Author Share Posted February 6 Hi, thank you all very much for helping me rebuild my bike. Unfortunately, I didn't buy petrol taps. The seller did not respond. I took care of the wiring and did as Ron described. I have a question about cable color marking. Is the side by side version for green/black correct? Just like in the photos from Lex. Or maybe the one with the black stripe on the green one? Regards Paul Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
welbike Posted February 6 Share Posted February 6 (edited) Like on the left, it wasn't done very nice sometimes, and black (on the black wire) was indeed doen like that. Lex PS, I don't remember green being used??? Edited February 6 by welbike Updated pictures Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
welbike Posted February 6 Share Posted February 6 (edited) Something went wrong, and I cannot delete this post, so I added another picture, and wiring diagrams for Triumph. Lex Edited February 6 by welbike wrong picture Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

pawelcen Posted February 7 Author Share Posted February 7 Hi, next question. 1. Green/black, left or right is correct? 2. The left one is red/white or white/red? 😁 Does the order of markers matter? Theoretically no, because they are not repeated. Regards Pawel Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ron Posted February 7 Share Posted February 7 I don't think it matters. If you look at the original samples that Lex posted. Yellow and Red is shown both ways. Ron Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

pawelcen Posted February 7 Author Share Posted February 7 Hi again, Regulator connected. Now I'm looking for the purple marker. I have two diameters, one too small and the other too large. It's time to install the front brake. I need to make a copy of the special bracket/bolt/nut as in the photo. I am missing external dimensions such as: L- length H - height of the spherical part R- diameter or radius of the sphere D - diameter of the cylindrical part. I would be grateful if someone would like to help me. Pawel Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The frame was converted to a wide rear wheel. Tank mount adapted to the small drop type. And the seat was like a cowboy with fringes. The frame has been returned to the original. I had a second bike as a sample, so there was no problem(photo). Anchor plate were damaged. I had to make a tool to produce external sheets (photo). Mudguards are unfortunately from India, but I couldn't buy the original ones. The engine was only suitable for general renovation. Inside were parts from around the world, but not from Triumph. From France I have original a piston, cylinder, connecting rod. Crankpin big end I was able to buy NOS from Egipt. The crankcase halves are not matching numbers. Fortunately, they are in the axis and fit. The left half of the engine was damaged and I must repair. Welding would cause deformations and I chose the technology used in the shipbuilding industry. It is gluing cracked engine housings. The pictures show that some elements were made of aluminum and glued to the housing. I will be grateful for all comments and help Paul Can you tell me what "glue" used on the crankcases please? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
pawelcen Posted February 7 Author Share Posted February 7 Hi, I used a Belzona repair kit. Pawel Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ron Posted February 7 Share Posted February 7 I use "WELSEAL" on both sides of the crankcase halfs. Allow to stiffen for 1/2 hour or so before joining. The good thing about Welseal is, it never really sets hard. Ron Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

L= .85" (21.59mm) H= .5" ( 12.7mm) R= .7" (17.78mm) D= .55" (13.97mm) It wont notice if you round the mm up. 22-13-18-14 Ron 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
