Rubberduck Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Not my cup of tea but by eck it's mental. Didn't know they could fly. Quote
Tamber Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 A few extras, yeah. :wow: Interesting work on the shock mounts; certainly looks like it'd be a bit of a rough ride even with those monster things on... he's not hanging about, is he? Quote
ploughman Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Could it be that it might not be a genuine Ferret? Quote
Richard Farrant Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Could it be that it might not be a genuine Ferret? Its a wolf in ferret's clothing, got a V8 in the back and more mods; http://www.actionvehicleeng.com/toyo-ferret/ Quote
Rubberduck Posted July 25, 2016 Author Posted July 25, 2016 It would be great if they would show more details. Would love to know how they did the gearbox to engine. Driven center wheel!?!? Etc etc Quote
Starfire Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Apparently the centre wheels are hydraulically driven (you can see the hydraulic lines coming down from the top of the fake turret) and there is a 500hp LS V8 in it. Toyo has said that a behind the scenes vid will be out soon. I've been wondering what to do with my spare Ferret, too... Cheers, Terry Quote
john fox Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 fascinating to see the champion off road driver with his thumbs inside the steering wheel Quote
andym Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 I suspect there's not a lot of actual Ferret in that vehicle at all ... Andy Quote
ploughman Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 And then there is this. Might not be suitable for a coat of IRR paint. Quote
rog8811 Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 I love the way the 2 guys are holding onto the Christmas tree to make sure it didn't get blown away Quote
Enigma Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 And then there is this. Might not be suitable for a coat of IRR paint. Yhat's the wrong link. Its for a "tank" dragster. Quote
datadawg Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 (edited) There is another thread on this topic: http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?54661-Hot-Rodded-Ferret!!&p=473986#post473986 It has the link to the original Ferret video and background build. Edited August 25, 2016 by datadawg Quote
OZITIM Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Impressive, but to be honest, I would be more impressed if Toyo tyres made a bartrack tyre to fit an actual Ferret. OZITIM Quote
