peter75
Could be a bren gun magazine box CTL 1184a for M,K,1 carrier. Peter.
fv1609
Neil its not just my cynicism about iproducts but on most forums where people find they have posted an image upside down they say they are using an ipad Is it because you can set the viewing of an image so that it auto-corrects so that you always see the image the correct way round but the image itself may not be but it lets you see it the way you want it? fv1609
Is there any special significance for tool boxes that have catches with webbing? I have this small tool box.

eddy8men
clive i don't know if webbing was used on all carrier boxes but it is present on most. they were also quite keen on stencilling, both on the hull and on the box. the inside of the box also had the content stencilled on the underside of the lid. fv1609
Ok it just didn't seem a very robust closing device for an AFV. As you can the strap on the left of mine has had the popper stud pull through & it hasn't had much use from me, it was NOS dated 1956.
