Gordon_M
I'm the only one who had a look at that helmet and immediately wondered how long it would take McLaren to change the tracks, then?

Diana and Jackie
They used to make washing machines in Merthyr so it's aptly named as Ajax is also the name of a power cleanser. [video=youtube_share;Jev_2DPVrJ8]
militant-nick
😂 😂 If they follow the trend the next vehicle could be named 'Cilit Bang!', Bang! And the <insert enemy name here > is gone.
andym
[video=youtube_share;Jev_2DPVrJ8] OK, so now we know it can do neutral turns - wonderful. But does anyone else think that "Merthyr Tydfil, the New Home of Fighting Vehicles for the British Army" sounds like something from Monty Python? :-) Andy
Tony B
Don't visit Wales for a while Boyo! Actually if you do, visit the Big Pit Coal mine and musuem bloody amazing place, if you don't mind total darkness and are claustraphobic. 300 feet down into the actual mine. eddy8men
looks very nice but why do we need it when we already have warrior, it seems to perform the same role. is it more airportable?
Diana and Jackie
You could be right! If the Russians see that they will fall about in fits of laughter as it looks like something from Monty Python and with a name AJAX its obviously meant to do just that, as it looks hilarious. OK, so now we know it can do neutral turns - wonderful. It may be assembled here, but how much of it is made in England?

robin craig
I have nothing good to say, so as mother said "say nothing at all", but I do like some of your comments ladies and gents, very funny. Robin
Diana and Jackie
Its actually a Hoover washing machine on tracks (Hoover made washers in Merthyr Tydfil and they went bust), so its officially a HOOVER and not an AJAX

johnwardle
looks very nice but why do we need it when we already have warrior, it seems to perform the same role. is it more airportable? Rick, this is the first of a family of 6 vehicles, Ajax, Ares, Apollo, Athena, Atlas and Argus, which will replace the CVR(T) variants. Good news is that when the Ajax family come in to service the CVR(T)s would be sold off through Withams (unless the government give them away as foreign aid). Tony B
Dad went there with his good friend Jones the mechanic and stirred up a disagreement. A question for all of you Welsh fellows (and without looking it up) where was Sir Humphrey Davy from? Davy was a Pastie basher. Merthyr means Matyr or Saint in Welsh, and is quite a common prefix .The AJAX family is being designated from Greek Mythology, Ajax was rated as a great definsive commander, more a thinker than a fighter. So for a See and Scoot vehicle, ideal. Edited April 16, 2016 by Tony B
Great War truck
Very good Tony. The guide at the Big Pit said he was a leek cruncher and had to be corrected. He didn't believe he was wrong, checked it on the web and came back to apologise.
