No-one has ever stated the circumstances but the first tank has a substancial hole in the floor beneath the drivers station, so possibly the result of mines or bombs rather than a roll over in snowy conditions. steveo578 Posted September 25, 2010 Share Posted September 25, 2010 Just to clarify/identify and to avoid anyone turning the monitor upside down:computerrage: -Its a British A12 Matilda and according to the Russian book Lend lease tanks it belonged to 170th independant tank battalion fighting in the Kalinin front in February 1942, -the guys with the hats are from the Command centre HQ of the 3rd Shock Army -so some-one is going to Siberia:-(.
