Richard Peskett
What row did I leave it in ?. Possibly not being able to beat the solid tyre dump numerically but certainly a substantial number of ambulances in this view , location unknown. Richard Peskett. Roy Larkin
Great picture, Richard. You can have it any colour you like so long as it's got a red cross on it.
Roy Larkin
What a picture! is that Slough? Definately not Slough. Looks like Kempton Park to me, also known as the 'Unfit Park'. Interesting that most of the war Office ambulances are Ford Ts and most of the Red Cross ambulances are Talbots, Sunbeams etc.
Great War truck
Yes, Kempton Park is more likely, or possibly Rouen.

Roy Larkin
Yes, Kempton Park is more likely, or possibly Rouen. No, not Rouen, I'm sure of that. I'd put anybody else's mortgage on it being Kempton Park.

Runflat
No, not Rouen, I'm sure of that. I'd put anybody else's mortgage on it being Kempton Park. I've recently aquired this very same image. A contempory caption indicates this is Bickendorf, Germany. This appears to have been a vehicle reception park used by the Rhine Army. A photo of officers and ranks at Bickendorf is held by the RLC Museum: http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/a2a/records.aspx?cat=1820-rascrct&cid=1-67#1-67 A close one there, Roy!
