mcspool
I think I still have the Ferret. But at one point in time I ditched the wheels, cut out the hull bottom and fitted it onto a RC tracked chassis. . . . H.
Tony B
You lot sound like you had the 'second ' generation Action Man. Some of us had the Original! There are clips of Action Man TV adverts on the net. The original stuff was very expensive but beautifully detailed. Which brings me to a book: Achtung Schwienhund! by Harry Pearson, an great light hearted romp through the military toys of our youth. :coffee:

gazzaw
Had 14 original (1960s) action men, with almost every bit of kit, and a Tommy Gunn action figure-IMO he was better detailed and uniformed than his american cousins. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:HPIM1758.JPG http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Gunn_%28action_figure%29 http://www.doc.mmu.ac.uk/STAFF/D.Higson/classic.htm Edited December 15, 2009 by gazzaw
oily
...still got my Ferret, sadly minus it's wheels, and some of my Action Men, fuzzy haired, but mine were the ones just before the 'gripping hands' version... shame they never did an Action Man 'Saracen'...!:-(
Tony B
Now you come to mention the Saracen, I'm sure one company made a geniric 'action figure' one.
