Guessing gulf war (1), was it used as a forward air observation post?

We have a Spartan MCT, minus turret. We have the launcher rails and hope to on day get a turret made for it.

Gulf war 1 was Iran/Iraq...

Back then it was called "the Gulf war" in the media....:)

Allegedly there was a modification done by ABRO for its use as a range safety vehicle at BATUS. As yet I have found no documentary or photgraphic evidence to support this.

there was an photo article in Military machines in June 2001 about 6 pages which may have the modified vehicle you are looking for, it certainly show a Spartan/Sturgen as a Command and control vehicle for exercises.

Here are a few pics of the Sabre and one of the Spartans in the collection

The vehicles are pretty much in the same state as when we received them.

Wow, I used to Own 01 FD 43 a couple of numbers up from this one. Mine was a true Scorpion though. Not converted into a Sabre.

I sold it to International Repo Depot (Earl Tucker) in the US.
