Tony B Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 :cool2:What are the two boxes on the front of this for? Even the owner didn't know. :cool2: Quote
Tony B Posted August 28, 2009 Author Posted August 28, 2009 Depends on what types of grass. :cool2: No and there not ashtrays either. Quote
Adrian Barrell Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 If it's an aircraft tug, presumably they are FOD boxes? Quote
radiomike7 Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 The badge reads 'MINITUG' if that means anything to anyone. The larger boxes appear to have 4 lights, the smaller ones 2. Quote

Tony B Posted August 29, 2009 Author Posted August 29, 2009 Pigeons! CORRECT!!:yay: They are Britsh Military Carrier pigeon boxes! Suprisingly I was told they finally went out of use in the early 1960's. As an aside, during the Occupation it was illegal to keep Pigeions in Tthe Channel Islands. Quote
chrisrand Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 I just found this - thats mine !:wow: I have no idea what the purpose of those boxes is - I'm still not sure about the pigeon idea (I think I remember talking to someone at the show about that) Any other suggestions welcome..... ps - it's just received it's 11th W&P plaque !
