  1. Also had 5 stud axles/road wheels un like production ones with 6 studs.
  2. Hope these help, I think its had a dog living in it as its very smelly and very horrible inside. :-( Not the best pictures as i had to keep the door open while leaning in as best i could while trying not to touch anything inside as its that grim. As its a hard top its had the lip of the upper body side cut away to mount it on the body capping.
  3. I will go grab a picture, back in a bit.
  4. They are correct for a S3, got a hard top ffr one in the yard with some fitted at the moment. They fit over the top of the hood stick hole that lines up with internal bulkhead and the strengther bar then runs down to the body side capping.
  5. This was the post http://www.hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?t=8926&highlight=diesel
  6. I posted some pictures on here of the one at W&P last year. I will dig them out again. I was more interested in the air powered couplings used for disconecting the drive.
  7. What ever lump you end up using i would look at mounting it in a frame along with the rest of the ancilaries and gearbox so it can be lifted in the future as a pack. After the recent debates about Stolly's its the one thing i think they should have done from the start. Only the centre drives to disconect, a few bits of electric/hoses and the hydraulic hose's to the front tank.
  8. Grumpy on here may have a spare block, or other spares. It depends if hes made his mind up which way he's going with rebuilding his spare engines. Drop him a PM.
  9. Nice picture of one of the protos at the 1962 motor show. http://www.chrishodgephotos.co.uk/pixcma/aao082.jpg The aphibious trials were also sea going, as the military prototype that i last saw in storage near Derby had the coloured marker lights on the cabin. It also had hexagonal roof hatches. I love stollies and wouldnt have to be asked twice if i could afford to have another one.
  10. A Mk1 should be B81 Rolls Petrol engine not a multifuel.
  11. Might be of interest to people on here. Mine test of a 432 and some nice high speed pictures. http://www.sjhprojects.com/gallery.php?tag=MillbrookAFV
  12. I had a lovely weekend, Loggy sums it up nicely. Nice to meet Mark and see his great display of kit. We had great fun with Garys 432 in the display field. Talking to people viewing, really enjoyed seeing it and the CVRT's strutting their tracks. It has all the making of being a great show. I will be back next year.
  13. The emergency exits are through the drop down side windows.
  14. I will be going in the 101. Grumpy should be bringing his Militant if the door is fixed and another mate will be bringing his 432.
  15. Best Looking Jeep i have seen in awhile. :-D
  16. You can make them free standing if you use 4 poles on the tall side. I use one with my 101, I use poles even when tied to the truck as it keeps it shape better, and if i want to move the 101 i just peg the guy lines out to hold it.
  17. You can try heating the arm but be careful to not get it too close to the bottom of the steering box and cook the seal. I have put pullers on them before now, as tight as i can, soak in wd40 and leave it for half an hour. Another pull to put a bit more pressure on it and leave it again. Add a tap from your favorite hammer if you can get a swing in with your puller fitted. Some have then just come loose and others have gone with a bang.
  18. I guess the drop at Wolverhampton would the John's Valentine.
  19. Doug, i have some pictures of a 438. Will dig them out and e-mail them to you.
  20. There was a reported drowning on the sunday, luckily it was a false alarm. The gent had lost his wife who was walking their dog along the stream, in a panic to find her thought the gaps in the weeds where kids had been throwing logs in looked like she had fell in.
  21. I snapped this on the sunday morning Neil. Nice vanatge point sat on top of the Abbot.
  22. Unimog steps also fit and look very much the same. Also tend to be more readily available and cheaper. Just got the last bit of packing to do before i am Beltring bound in mine on Saturday. Cant wait.
  23. Looks Good. You going to change the mirrors from horrible s3/90/110 items to the correct ones?
