  3. Cheched the book. No picture I'm afraid, it was a Y Service vehicle I was thinking of, in a diffrent book. I'll try and tarck it down I have to ask Phil.
  4. Makes a lot of sense. The British had a 'This is a Tank' program for thier troops . Aftert all 1 What is it? 2 Is it friendly? 3 If it isn't friendly, how do you damage it? Was the guy artillery? They in particular would need to judge range from apparent size and direction from aspect. The Great War seems to be a coming of age of the idea that troops on all sides have to think for themselves. So large Visual Aids are ideal.

  7. There is a black and white photo of a BRIXMIS Box in Tony Geraghty's book BRIXMIS. Definitley be diffrent , and lets you use any British uniform you want as it was multi arm agency.

  11. I saw a lovley pencil drawn picture of an Auster AOP, it was an illustration of a book written by a WW2 Auster pilot. He was recalling a situation in France where he'd come unexpectdley on a German coloum wwith a lot of mobile Flax, the picture showed the Auster flying below tree level down a road with shells passing overhead. His other remark was the into a headwind he'd be overtaken by the pigieons.
