Ray, you've earned a bit of indulgence. As for the stories, please don't stop. they make me laugh they make me think. Keep well my Friend.

  4. Posting such automotive porn. You can go right off some people.
  5. Most desirable is good clear proof house marks! The actual paper certificate is NOT the legal proof of deactivation to required standard. The Mk1 has dial sight and extra grip on butt. Surface finish should be good, otherwise is it old spec, strippable or new spec solid. As you can imagine old spec make the premium.
  6. Nice find! How much? Any dates on it? Lewis gun did soldier on till about 1943.
  7. Yes, but you knew where to look!:-D Back on topic, apart from the staff cars did Dodge supply any other vehicles to the US Army during the Great War?
  8. Thanks Richard. I've hunted everywhere for those dimensions. As for an 'Expert', isn't that a person who knows the answer to someone else's problem? :-D Tim, it was quite usual to use horse drawn trailers converted to mechanical tow, which could then go back to horses.
  9. Not a lot of external design change then. I went to Woolwich Academy, got swamped for about four hours, managed to restrain running amook with the constant 'Cor, look at the J**p. Good things were all four accompaning Land Rovers refused to restart after gassing, Dodge pottered on. and we are getting some PROPER guns back at Woolwich. The King's Troop RHA will be moving in next year. Not a lot of time for pictures, pity as I've got a new toy, but got some good ones of the Chinook that dropped the parachute team.
  10. Great piece of Kit Gordon.
  11. Is the lamp fitting genuine? What a clever idea. As long as you don't open the lid.
  12. First welcome, especially another Dodge specalist. Second, you don't happen to know the original thickness of WC brake shoe linings do you? Enjoy the fun and frolics.
  13. Welcome Andy, late onset green disiase from the sound of it. The worst kind.
  14. Tahnks mate. Nice to know a local place.
  15. How high is the octane in that beer then? Ah , I get it! A size comparison we all understnd!
