  4. I have to say I find the population of the Salient more friendly than around the Somme as well.
  5. In Defence of the Met Office, they are very good at predicting conditions at 39,000 feet! Which is what the RAF wanted them for. As for snow in London, Ladies and Gentlemen! THE SNOWFLAKE HAS LANDED! The tube has packed up, there were ques at supermarkets and Harrod's has sold out of ski wear. Don't you just love winter? :nut:
  6. You told me the Ditingushed facilites were closed till it could be worked out which round the toilet paper went! Are you still waiting for Jack to do the Health and Saftey stament?
  7. Well Joris being traditionalist the men want Imperial size paper, being modern the women want metric! Bear in mind that it is a species that can't work out the lever principal. Hence WC seats have to be normaly down. (Robin, hate to point it out mate, but you've mounted the paper upside down)
  8. http://www.lashendenairwarfaremuseum.co.uk/ The Headcorn one has been off for restoration.
  9. On 6 th Jume 2013. Graham Lay the militaria expert owned a /dingo and now has a Jeep so does know his vehicles. http://www.bbc.co.uk/showsandtours/shows/beonashow/antiques Worth contacting the show in advance for vehicles, they can be very accomadating.
  10. Seems to depend on the mood of the French customs. I've never been asked for the OGEL despite a number of hours headbanging to get the thing filled in. Don't forget you now need a Breathaliser! Though what the point of that is I really don't understand.
  11. Possibly better to 'keep for show' and have a couple of modern ones about.
  12. Don't won't to work! If you can't get one day a year off the road due to snow, what is the climate coming to!
  13. I've got the snow chains out, loaded a local witch doctors boots with ice and paid for a rain dance, so I'm doing my Bit!
  14. Now, one last time! Youa' re absoluley 100% sure you have loaded 'dem rockets the right way round?:red:
  15. Isn't the Headcorn 'manned' V1 one single tailfin?
  16. I'm teeling you Guys! This will make a fortune after the war. all the kids will want it! Intresting use of WC54 though.
  17. Welcome, depending on cash and experience, a Land Rover is a good first start, or a Dodge!
  18. As for origional number , worth asking. I got Katy's old english number back, as the vehicle has already been registered there should be no fee!
  19. I recently took my WC54 into an MOT for registration, that had 'Forign' plates. Not relevant I was told as it was a check to see if was fit to be registered.
  20. I'd suggest Big or Lttle Wille. Some vehicles were painted in surreal camouflage colours. But I can't remember the artist!
