  2. Found these some more big road trains, see the youtube one as well.. http://www.darkroastedblend.com/2008/02/huge-off-highway-road-trains.html
  3. Well NOS it seems to me all you need is just one more tanker :cool2: :shake: and that would be a site to see. Well done on the find keep the pics coming...
  4. What is the spec HP ect of the Isuzu 2.8 presumably its an ally block ?
  5. Well all I can say is how great this is, what a response and quite right too. Please to anyone who is reading this, please give anything you can, any little bit will add up, just think if you were a vet and had not been back to France since and wanted to pay your respects. What a gesture for the young of today to give back to the young then for what they did for us.:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry: If it wasn't for these people and the ones who did not come back we would probably not be doing this now.. What more can I say, donate please.
  6. Is the 2.8 Turbo Isuszu anything like the 2.8 Turbo Daihatsu ? as I am in process of putting one in a Range Rover classic.
  7. In another post about this it was mentioned that if the people receiving the donations were a charity they could claim it back anyway ????? If this is the case do we need to send the gift aid forms to Jack. Can someone please confirm accurately what needs to be done, as it would be a shame for them to miss out on extra money which is so deserving. Does the NVA know where this money is coming from and who from ?
  8. We could do with these as soon as possible to promote the cause. Get the company to do them for free and donate  The Vets banner is so good it encompasses every thing about it, well done Bodge : This banner should be on hats and also on the back of tee shirts and fleeces to show everyone what we have done.. Keep up the good work and those behind the scenes well done to you all
  9. One of the best things we have experienced, we will never forget it. On the day before the VIP turned up, I got asked be an organiser if I knew someone with a truck, I said I had one. They needed a load of palm trees in pots about 5 feet tall, taken from the greenhouses to the marquee in the middle of the circuit, so the person jumped in my truck and we drove out of the grounds up the road, then up the main drive to the main house and then off round the corner to the greenhouses and loaded up the truck with palms and then took them back to the main marquee, how cool was that.............. To be there on the first time it was opened as well...
  10. So if they are still a big rig by today's tankers what would they carry Gallons wise as compared to a modern road artic tanker ??
  11. I am under the impression that the U.S. WWII had square edges to the bars and the British ones were rounded over on to the side walls. I might be wrong though:sweat:
  12. Here is what you missed, also very hot nice day out.............. Good turn out of vehicles and a varied selection Marching Band all in time and keeping pace Tigers Motorcycle display team consisting of young riders Map Room where it went on for D-Day A good variety of vehicles
  13. Possibly put off by the cost of joining and the cost of the day event and paying for the fuel to get there..............
  14. I too was there for the first one and ferried VIP's from the marquee reception area to the party area inside the circuit, part of the route to get there involved a section of the circuit so I can say that my GMC has been on the Goodwood circuit  one of the guests I transported was Murray Walker :-D:-D:-D:-D How cool...... We also got buzzed by the Spits and if I had stood on the truck roof I could have touched the damn things, they were that low, and the sound was something else, made me come out in goose bumps.
  15. Yea that now sounds right once you think about it, it is obvious. Thanks
  16. I think my years are catching up with me, the question is if a rotor arm in a distributor rotates clockwise which way do you turn the body of the distributor to advance the timing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:
  17. This permanent smile I have evaporated all the water away, but this smile is getting me into trouble every where I go I am smiling :cool2::cool2::cool2: just cant stop..
  18. All possible but the "blow out" bit concerns me a bit :shake: Be careful and don't forget Nov the 5th coming up :cool2:
  19. Very shiny, must be expensive............................. Are they heavy as well ?
  20. Well thing which springs to mind first is if they have electrical connections on them, could be explosive shear pins rated at 20 tons !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Could be wrong though.... Ah what about a strain gauge sensor..
  21. No no no, you are wrong ........... It takes a MAN in a MAN's Truck ( only applies to soft cab GMC's ) to dive it properly with bar grips on :cool2: It's just you need to accept that if you drive too fast the tyres will slide, drive to the conditions if its wet you slow down so the wipers work and you can then see and also the truck will go round corners....... :shake:  He He...
  22. If you both are talking about Spit Oil the 3rd pic is from a hill behind the tank so I was almost level with the top of the turret, the 4th is from the front at ground level. So that is why, but try to stay off the mushrooms this might help as well. :nono: :cool2:
