  1. The engine is not governed so it has a hand throttle but I don't know what the max rev's is ? doesn't sound very high though !! Fitted in a hydraulic driven tracked chain trencher, able to cut a 4 inch wide trench up to 4 feet deep and as long as you like !!!!!! and having a digging back hoe at the other end makes it a useful bit of kit.
  2. Might have been a sight.... All I have to say is it is a lot bigger in real life........................
  3. Also looks like the tipping gear is different from original spec, looks like a longer bed but might be an optical illusion without the mud guards. Nice looking truck though.
  4. Wow does this mean you are going to be there with a stall ??
  5. Wow thanks for that, I do like a bit of Steam :cool2: I wonder if anyone on the Island knows any of the faces on the film.
  6. Looking at the people on it I would say the bed is about 40-45 feet.
  7. Hick burp  Cheers guys, see you all soon, got a few garage toys to play with this afternoon ......... How did you know !!!!!!!
  8. Something I think is very important is to stir the tin of paint very well before thinning and using in the spray gun, not just 10 or so times with a screwdriver, but stir it properly with a piece of thick wire with a loop at the end, long enough to reach the bottom of the tin put this in an electric drill outside in the fresh air, do this for as long as possible 5 mins or until the paint is thoroughly mixed up. This will give much better future mixes as the tin of paint will remain mixed up and do this every time you want to use that colour. The most important thing also is to get a water trap between the compressor and pressure regulator this is to stop water vapour getting to the spray gun as spray guns use lots of air you will start to get tiny blobs of water in the painted surface if you dont have one. Good luck :cool2:
  9. Well if a US jerry can does hold 5 US Gallons that works out to be 40 US Pints, as a US Pint is the same as a UK Pint. With the weight of fuel at approx 737 Kg/cu mtr. 737/1000=0.737 Kg/Ltr jerry can has approx 20 Ltrs so 0.737x20=14.75 Kg x 2.2 to get Lbs = 32 Lbs plus the weight of the can so 40 Lbs could be about right. Found out the Germans marked their cans at 20Kg on the sides when full, so that would be about 44 Lbs. Don't know if this clears up anything or makes it worse :??? :???
  10. Did you find out, how many for a short wheel base !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. It has a starting handle and electric start, there are 3 de-compression levers on top of rocker covers see pics, bottom pic is of the opposite end to flywheel and cooling fan, shaft for starting handle. I would say its about 200 to 300 Kg's !!!! Would like to know the Model and type if possible with engine size cc and HP.

  16. Hi all, I have a green ( if that's any help ) 3 cylinder Lister diesel engine, and need to carry out an oil change, would anyone know what the recommended oil to use in it is, and how much of it ? The next question you are all going to ask is what type is it !!!! I have no idea, might get some pics later today, so can anyone point me to a web site which shows the different engines ?

  18. Hi all, I want to try and build up a list of the types of grease's which people use ( makes and Specs ) for what application on vehicles ( such as wheel bearings, bushes, steering parts, general greasing ect ) how it performs ( dries out, lacking in anti corrosion properties, washes out ) and your thoughts of it.
