    I can still get contam easily so hadn't realised it was a problem elsewhere. I had an M35 but found it to be inferior to my jimmy in most respects. We'll have to agree to differ.:box:

    Surprisingly I remembered to look at this again and was going to edit it but I thought I'd leave it as it might remind me not to post rubbish when unfit to do so.:embarrassed: Jack before you say it, NO it wasn't the whisky, I'm totally reformed:angel:. I actually woke up at some ungodly hour on the floor having apparently slid off the chair taking the keyboard and half a cup of coffee with me and still holding firmly on to the mouse.

    I doubt it, over the years we've had members who just posted the same boring comment on post's all the time presumably just to get their count up and others who, to me, seem to be over the top in their comments. I try not to fall into either camp, but the one thing I am certain of is the popularity of resto threads. Perhaps I should post more on restos PS. just tried to read this postbut too knackered to nae any sensemus edit if I remember

    Somehow, until now, I've managed to miss this very impressive and detailed restoration. A lot of thought must have gone into this with the innovative little touches. Incidentally, time doesn't matter, quality does and it shows here.

    Thoroughly enjoying following your quality resto, of what is now a rare vehicle. As a whipper snapper I remember a number being around but of course nothing like the numbers of Austins and Hillmans. Remarkable progress in such a short time.

    Just finished reading this and I have to say what a great job you are doing and the research to get all the little details right is impressive. You mentioned the white diff, this was common to all Brit vehicles and was illuminated by a small lamp IIRC made by Rubbolite. A quick search on the forum will tell all. Incidentally seeing the Morris 10 brought back memories of my late father's adventures in one just after the war. Best of luck with the resto, I'm looking forward to seeing your progress and, of course, the finished Tilly.

    I knew you would be able to tell me Adrian, thank you very much. I suspected there was no great value in it but asked the question just in case some body needed one. It seems quite often that things are heard about just sfter they have been thrown away/ scrapped.

    As you can see also fitted with correct B17 seat belts

    1944 Weasel done 70 miles since total rebuild, rubber tracks fitted and since I sorted the tension problems work superbly.It comes with hood sticks. complete hood and sides ( one small repair to top by Jim Clark Allied Forces), pioneer tools, oil can, stretcher fittings and the rare spotlight and wander lead. It has been valued at £20k so a bargain at £18650

    An acquaintance says he has a Sherman periscope he wishes to sell. Is there a simple way to identify these and what would be the value please? I have not seen the item but I will try to get photographs. I have no interest in this for myself but would be happy to purchase it for any body on here who may want it. Thank you

    According to Bart wheelbase was 12ft , it was a special chassis for the Air Ministry introduced in 1934 for for the ambulance but later used for all roles including refueller.
