  1. I was unaware of that . Perhaps as you are an administrator you can delete my unhelpful comment .
  2. I recently read an advert on Milweb in the Tank driving & Training section from a company called Total Driving who appear to provide tuition for a number of different types of vehicle . They have video on their website of their road registered Shielder being used for driver training - might it be worth contacting them to enquire what process they went through ?
  3. Hi Mart - your rad is (unsurprisingly) not unlike the one in my little Morris . That is currently in Colchester Radiators on Whitehall industrial estate being re-cored . Not particularly cheap , I think the quote was somewhere in the region of £265 , and it's been there for around three or four months so far (but compared to Howard that's pretty good going) .
  4. Bought a pair from a friend and found they'd started doing exactly the same whilst stored in the back of my wardrobe . Just put them in the skip the other day .
  5. Looks absolutely gorgeous . Good luck and happy motoring !
  6. Will try and look that address out for you tomorrow Neil . There are photo's of both my Mogs in the albums on my info page . The bodywork needs restoration as you can probably imagine - they all rot like there's no tomorrow and it was not quite as described when I bought it , mechanically it's pretty sound and runs nicely but work has been held up for around three years now because the cab has been sat in the yard of a certain local company waiting to be stripped .
  7. I wrote to M-B asking for verification of the year of my 406 , they were very helpful & confirmed the year of manufacture . This was a little while ago but it's worth a try . Will try to remember to find it out later & pass on the contact details . Mine's 1974 by the way !
  8. Your photo's remind me very much of another Clark forklift I used to see frequently , it was parked up in a yard next to where my girlfriend of the time kept her horses - could never track down the owner to enquire then one day it disappeared . I was later told that it had been scrapped - that one , I think , was a Clark Little Giant but the layout was very similar to yours . Think I have a pic of it somewhere but not sure if I can find it now .
  9.::thanx: for taking the trouble to post all that info up . They went for reasonable money then , mostly , assuming that all those bids were accepted .
  10. I know some of you good folk are regulars at the tender sales and keep notes . Can anyone tell me how much the BV206 cabins went for - I know the results are presently up on their website but I foolishly didn't make a note of the relevant lot numbers . I wonder what happened to them all ?
  11. The one thing I really hate is the 'bought for ten bob , cost two and six to renovate and sold for five times that giving X amount of profit' element that seems to have become mandatory in most of these type of programmes of late . We know that all these guys need to make a living and I don't begrudge anybody that - very few of us can afford to be charitable all the time - but it seems that the money is the be all and end all and just makes me cringe every time I see it .
  12. Haven't watched it for ages but it's not The Wages of fear by any chance ? Had to smile to myself watching the tail end of Ice cold in Alex yesterday , the famous(infamous?) shot as they drove past the lwb Landie !
  13. Peter4456 is very good at translating history cards , if he 's seen your query I'm sure he'll be along with some help as soon as he has a moment to spare .
  14. I have other non military toys too but we don't mention them too much ! Although I have had to curb my acquisitive nature and cut back so there are a few less than there used to be .
  15. Welcome to The Forum Pete , lurk away - you'll fit right in !
  16. Might Chris G be able to help ?
  17. Excellent vehicle choices there . Welcome to The Forum .
  18. Where can I get one Nick ?..............Actually , cancel that - Where can I get a case of them ?
  19. If you haven't already ordered from e bay Peter it might be worth giving Colchester Fuel Injection a call . They're the local Yuasa stockists and IIRC gave a pretty good price when I had to get a new battery for the digger a little while ago .
  20. We all thought you had them . welcome back Joris .
  21. Hope you and the family have a great Christmas Rosie . Remember to only drink to excess if at all possible and a very happy Christmas to all my HMVF chums .
  22. Welcome along Roy . Don't let anybody tell you there's anything wrong with an M201. We love ours .
  23. Presumably the new style classified section is indicative of an end to the tie in with MILWEB ? Much preferred the original CMV ad section .
