    yep 12 inch pounds of force in 1 foot pound, so the torque u want for head bolts is 34 foot pounds of force.

    always a help to other members if cost of repro parts can be discussed as it gives ballpark figures if need to have parts manufactured .,i think the reason craig queried the size of strap loops is because on my ferret at least loops are welded to mudguard without the side pieces that yours appear to have, hence yours appear longer.

    they look good in picture although with a lot of these remanufactured items u need to see em in the flesh, saw some repro center bins at war and p this year for i think 350 quid and they were v average in quality!( what was cost of mudguards?)

    i managed to reach upper pump delivery pipe from engine side by removing cooler and engine deck think i had cross brace off as well then kneeling/laying on top of engine , and lwr one by reaching thru hull inspection plate richards method might be easier!

    as said try everything first ie if starter turning slowly its probably batts /connections etc not starter its-self .

    probably had no trans fluid in it major leak ? ask him what he topped it up with, sometimes those deals are great might be simple fix depends what price he wants for it
