    99 percent of bartread ferret tires have sidewall cracks however these side walls are very thick best to get piece of paper and see how deep cracks are and make decision if tire with a certain amount of cracking is serviceable or not

    right when did u take your gun was it after august 2010 thats when i took my mk11 bren and i had chat with guy inspecting my bren about will it have to be re- deactivated to latest spec and he said no,they look for proof house marks when originally deactivated and as long as it was correct then new cert dated 2011 is issued, as of aug last year at london fee was 40 odd quid for new cert issue

    u can take to proof house in london or birmingham i did with my bren last year to london costs about 40 quid all they do is inspect the gun they issue new cert , took about 40 minutes and there is one parking slot right outside proof house! gun is inspected to levels that applied when originally deactivated

    does help if u put paint on quite thick to get a :wet: coat hard to do if spraying out side on hot day as paint wants to dry soon as it leaves the gun!

    i used a semi satin nato green on the ferret and yes it does scuff easy best way once fully cured is wipe paint with soft rag and wd40 to remove scuffs

    well had good day sunday down to hampshire and bought a wolf 9x9 tent with internal curtains and zip doors , then went off to tank museum for a couple of hours all in all a good day:D
