Jessie The Jeep
Cheers! I hope to be painting the airframe next week. Another five and a half hours riveting today, plus a shopping trip for bits. The outer wing panels took about 90 minutes each to complete. They had additional stringers added to match the inner wing panel, and contain around 2500 rivets each! The tailplane was also riveted today. Both outer panels and the tail now need a light rub down with the Scotch pad and are ready for painting. Bodge Deep
how is it that this can run scale or relatively scale hamilton props when a lot of other models have to make do with 2 blade props? Is it to do with the radials?
Jessie The Jeep
It's 150cc's of power. My P-47 is only 40cc. The multi-cylinder arrangement also helps, but at a weight penalty. Each radial weighs 10 pounds, half the weight of my P-47!

Jessie The Jeep
The engines are turning at around 4600rpm on the ground. They will unload in the air and gain a bit more rpm.
