Jessie The Jeep
Over the last couple of days I've put together a cheap and cheerful website to display many of my aviation photos. The site is nothing fancy, but I hope the pictures speak for themselves. Most are military aircraft, but there are a few civvies in there too. The locations include Duxford, Elvington, Old Warden, Hardwick, Breighton, Ursel. More aircraft will be added in time, and others may be replaced to keep numbers of pictures at a managable level. Except for a few early designs, aircraft are listed alphabetically by aircraft name, not manufacturer, ie Tiger Moth ( de Havilland ). American aircraft are listed by military number, name, then manufacturer, ie P-51 Mustang ( North American ) Thumbnails on each page will open enlargements ( pop up blockers may need to be turned off ) Here's the site link - My Aircraft Pictures Here's a few examples Steve
cripp
Nice site, quick too, always a bonus. I don't think the MY Home Pages link is working correctly.
ArtistsRifles
Nice site Steve - congratulations sir (link seems to be working OK now,)
Jessie The Jeep
Thanks Don't know why the link didn't work! :dunno: I've just added some more aircraft. Especially for the RAF fans, some extra Lancaster pics, Mosquito, Valetta, Sunderland, Swordfish, Auster, plus a few other aircraft. Gareth Coe
Luvverlee! really like the Butcher Bird - where were those pics taken? Looks a bit like Duxford but I didn't know they had a FW190 there.
Jessie The Jeep
The 190 was at Duxford at the Flying Legends show in July. It hasn't flown yet as it is a 'New Build' aircraft, not a restoration, and so requires a great deal of paperwork before being given its C of A. I believe it is powered by a Russian or Chinese engine which was similar or a copy of the BMW engine. Steve
Gareth Coe
Ooh - I'm excited now. Must get over to Duxford soon :-)
Jessie The Jeep
I read elsewhere that it is currently dismantled for inspection, probably to do with the paperwork. It is in the 'Area 51' hangar, which I believe is the small curved one near the M11. I don't believe it is viewable by the public at present. Jessie The Jeep
Over the last few weeks, I have been cleaning up many old aviation photos I had taken on a 35mm film camera. Many were from trips around aviation museums in the USA containing aircraft you don't usually see here in the UK. With a combination of dust spots and scratches, each photo has taken approximately an hour to make presentable, and they are now uploaded to my Aviation Photos website here - My Warbird Photos The following aircraft are either new to the site or have had additional photographs added. A6M5 Zero A-26 Invader Albatros HU-16/UF-1 Auster B-17 Fortress B-18 Bolo B-23 Dragon B-25 Mitchell B-29 Superfortress B-36 Peacemaker B-47 Stratojet B-50 Superfortress B-52 Stratofortress B-66 Destroyer Bf109 Boeing Model 247 BT-13 Valiant C-45 Expeditor C-46 Commando C-47 Skytrain/ DC-3 Dakota C-54 Skymaster C-56 Lodestar F4 Phantom F86 Sabre F101 Voodoo F104 Starfighter F105 Thunderchief G4M1 Himaki ( Betty ) J2m3 Raiden ( Jack ) Jungmann Jungmeister Bu133 KC97 Stratotanker Lancaster Magister P-12E P-38 Lightning P-40 Warhawk P-51 Mustang PT-19 Cornell PT-22 Recruit SE5a SR-71 Blackbird T-6 Texan/Harvard Tiger Moth DH-

Jessie The Jeep
Further pictures added! Some of these are scans of photos from the 1970's.
