Jack
Evening all. Does anyone know the legal and paperwork involved in importing an unregistered GMC that is at this moment in time in Norway.... :computerterror: Bodge I remember you saying that you registered your WC yourself - was it painful??? Thanks to all. Jack.
TooTallMike
Everything involving DVLA is painful but the more paperwork you can get, the less bad it'll be. It's all they're interested in. Any time they have to use initiative the whole thing will grind to a halt but if you can provide the right bits of paper they'll be happy. If you can get a registration document with it you're pretty much home and dry. Oh, and don't tell them it's American.

ghasp!
The two sagas of registering my CCKW and avoiding the import duty / VAT bill might be of some use. http://historicmilitaryvehicles.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=38&topic=2672.0 http://historicmilitaryvehicles.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=38&topic=3162.
Jack
Great info thanks chaps! The reason that I ask is because I have been contacted 'off forum' by a gentleman in Norway who would like to bring over a GMC from Norway for Beltring and then sell it here and then drive his jeep back. So hopefully you guys have been of great help to him. Many thanks Jack
Bodge Deep
Tell 'im I'll give him £30 for it... it'll do for dry storage for the Dodge. It's more than they're worth but hey I'm generous like that
