matchlesswdg3
Oh yes, I should also have added the comment that others made - the marshals were indeed excellent - efficient, helpful and friendly despite all the hassles and problems thrown at them. .303fan
Had a feeling of failure driving down to the show, 109 ex raf related. we were situated nicely next to fellow imps members, inviting them over by stating imps members are like family members. at the friday when the storm hit we prepped our camp and loaned long pins to the neighbour by hammering them in so the caravan with tent were secured. Saturday was marked by mud and some traders leaving , sunday was a relaxing evening after the neighbour went home. He did tell me to visit him so the Bren i bought could be picked up. Monday we loaded our gear, said goodbye to family and friend, isle of sheppey first stop, a large house with plenty of classic cars , parts etc. i loaded up the bren and mag in the 88, i got offered parts for a series 3 land rover... Plenty series 2, fair bit of series 1 and the odd series 3 bits were taken, including a Austin 7 light switch... I am still shocked about that, same as the dear man was after seeing how i loaded the little land rover... pictures to follow

Enigma
We had a good show. The toilets in our area were great, clean and stocked with toilet paper. Met/seen a lot of forum members amongst which, Gritineye, Mhillyard, Clive, Markheliops, Tootallmike, Snapper and many more. Here a pic of the stormfront from our perspective. gritineye
The ground was a bit wet, so three Scammell Explorers failed to tow Markheliop's ARRV, although Forceful would have done it alone in the dry! The Auck
I went down yesterday and really enjoyed the show and the weather. I think this is The Auck's UC. It is and by the looks of it before it went round the arena! We had a great show with all the carriers. Great photo, congrats. fv1609
No problems Bernard just took me 6 hours. My friend next to me left an hour before me, but when he got back to Amsterdam I was only halfway home. I think I need a tunnel from here to Folkstone :-D

fv1609
Did anybody come back with any exciting or unusual purchases? Yes I had almost forgotten. It was both exciting & unusual but tinged with some disappointment. Warning: This is only of interest to EMER collectors & Humber 1 Ton owners Mods to the Humber 1 Ton are contained in EMER WHEELED VEHICLES N 257. The index page lists all the modifications contained in that particular volume. Unfortunately most of these are dated 1968 & a few 1963, with subsequent additions listed chronologically. It has always been a source of frustration that Mods Nos 1-36 were just listed as cancelled. I wondered what these mods were for & whether they were embodied in later mods. To my delight I stumbled on an EMER in the old 23-clip binder with the index page dated Dec 1956 that had never been updated. It listed the purpose of Mod Nos 1-31:yay: The disappointment came when I realised that an unwise person had not read the chapters correctly & the details of the few Mods that followed were not for N 257 but H 257 that covers the Daimler Armoured Car. :argh: The only N 257 was Mod No. 4 A very welcome find as I have never found such early index before which would normally be destroyed when updated. Just a shame the full details were missing. None the less are rare & I'm afraid exciting find for me. :-D

fv1609
Just went to the W&PR web site to look for 2014 pictures & just get this: "The following directories must be writable by the web server: tmp/cache tmp/templates_c Please correct by executing: chmod 777 tmp/cache chmod 777 tmp/templates_c or the equivilent for your platform before continuing." Great War truck
Sorry Clive. It is definitely you. Or more likely your computer. I broke a long standing tradition this year and bought something at W&P to take home. Quite pleased with my find: Oh, another 2 gallon petrol tin you say. Well, it has the WD arrow on the handle: Spout leans inwards and dated March 18 indicating a genuine WW1 petrol tin. In good condition too. Two down, 13 more to find. ArtistsRifles
Don't think it was actually in Kitcheners - in fact I am not sure the first lot were even on site. We were were in aisle 1 just behind the Twickenham Offroaders and were looking out towards the where the storm came in at about a 30 deg angle.
