Thanks for the info. It is an original unmolested example and will remain so as long as I own it!

Looks great, nice and complete :-) Very pleased you said that about keeping it so. Let me know if you ever sell (I shouldn't have said that :-))

Cheers

Hi Mettlen,

That 101 ("Lady Jane") is a familiar motor to me. I don't know if you are in contact with it's first civvy owner Bryan, but he's a good friend of mine. I helped him look round the batch being sold at Craddocks in late 2000 - we settled on Lady Jane as is was (1) largely complete (2) the steering balls were in good condition and (3) it had a military recon engine.

It is an original unmolested example and will remain so as long as I own it!

Very pleased to here that - and that's how Bryan wanted to kept it, seeing the number in the 101 club that were turning into campers. Anyway, those stretchers in the back are fine for sleeping on ;)

As for some history since then - we'll it's out on the web and public so I'll just post the link - http://www.reocities.com/wickmesh/landrovr.htm. I probably have the photos in better resolution, if you're interested - and I can point you at more on the web too.

Kind Regards

Andrew (Wickmesh)

PS - The end of the exhaust was welded on by myself, it's a piece of old hifi loudspeaker stand :nut:

I went through the 101 club historian - Les. It took a little longer, he applies in batches. However the accompanying decoding he did was very helpful.

Les is a top gent - we spent a good few evenings at shows chewing the fat (and drinking the beer) on the 101 club stand...
