The famous one is the Lockheed P38 squadron lost its bearings from USA to Scotland and forced landed on an ice drift. Crew rescued and planes left to be recovered at later date. Later date and snow storm had covered the lot so left. One recovered after years of investigation and excavation. Made a book bout it all, but cant find it. Brilliant read and reference. rest of planes still there.
