AlienFTM
They transferred the freedom over from 13/18H, parents of the Light Dragoons. This parade that Bazz was at was to transfer the freedom of Newcastle from 15/19H (our former regiment and Light Dragoons' other parent) to Light Dragoons. And to welcome them back from Op Panther's Claw. Edited December 16, 2009 by AlienFTM

Marmite!!
I tried to find out when the para's were going to have thiers in colchester, council did not know, para reg did not know, how de we find out when these parades are? They probably don't advertise them a long time in advance for obvious reasons. I took part in the biggest Parade (TA100) down the Mall since WW2 & it was kept very low key from the publics point of view. We were taking part & didn't have a clue about the scale of the parade until we were actualy in it... ARRSE may be the best place to find out when parades are taking place.. Biggest Military Parade since WW2 down the Mall, notice the lack of public, not that they didn't want to support it, they didn't know about it:confused: The Mall was filled with Military Hardware & Soldiers, with Charlie taking the salute, from one end to the other. About 12 Private MV's followed them down. Edited December 16, 2009 by Marmite!!
