rippo
Hello kpt, Nice work, what does the brass plate, on the bulkhead by the airfilter, have written on it? Cheers
Richard Farrant
Hello kpt,Nice work, what does the brass plate, on the bulkhead by the airfilter, have written on it? Cheers Hi John, That is the instruction plate for cleaning the early air cleaner. Talking of which, a friend has recently bought an MW with a early filter, and I see it has been converted inside to take a modern air filter element, similar those on some tractors. rippo
Hello Richard, thats what i thought, but on that chassis number? Seems odd they would have fitted the bellows so late in production. Edited October 10, 2010 by rippo
Richard Farrant
Hello Richard, thats what i thought, but on that chassis number? Ah, I see your point, possibly had a bulkhead swapped during an army rebuild in its early life.

rippo
Hello owl, Have you got any pictures of your MW. The chassis number is usually stamped on the passenger side of the chassis, inbetween the cab step brackets.

Higgins kpt.
this is my bedford a long way to go but geting ther tracy Hi owl, its nice , if you see on my articlec about MWC, that you like my work, your MWD , now analyze? Know chassis number is good for restoration becouse from 1940 to 1945, MWD were few differences, for example- dash boards, body, air filters.... etc., etc., etc. I have now project for chassis MW "late early" (from Poland) by chassis number was build 1941 as MWG, it was between "early" and full windscreen (two doors) models, one this "late early" is on Malta museum, in nice condition,(search more pictures this Malta MW) I wish to communicate with other owners Bedfords MW, and maybe in future(with rippo and you?) make meeting MWs, for example in Normandy on D-day celebration, I wish you a successful finnish reconstruction! I one old atricle i see nice beautiful sentence "Bedford MW is Rolls between military trucks" regards Tomas
