Jessie The Jeep
Yes, the hole will heal up. Be warned that the tooth next to it may be loose for a while until the gum firms up. Did they warn you about the potential permanent loss of feeling in your lower lip and tongue? The roots run very close to the nerves and removal can cause nerve damage. When I had a wisdom tooth to come out, I was given the choice of an 18 month waiting list for an overnight hospital stay, or a 1 month waiting list if I got the students to do it!!!!!!!!! I picked the students! and survived! Steve

berni
i had all mine removed by my normal dentist so felt fine. the hole closes from the inside out but once it stops bleeding you wont be able to stop yourself from sticking your tongue in it. don't do it too much though cause the jellied bloodclots will keep falling out & then it will bleed again. be careful when you eat aswell, i'm not squeamish & used tweezers to pull bits of trapped food out the holes, great fun to gross out brothers  happy recovery berni
Jessie The Jeep
If you want squeamish  , there was the time I couldn't get an emergency dentists appointment, so took a scalpel to my gum, to remove the part above a wisdom tooth that was coming through Every time I took a bite of something, this piece of gum would get trapped between the upper tooth and the new wisdom tooth which was painful. 5 minutes with a scalpel sorted it prefectly. The pain during the cutting was worth the relief afterwards! and it didn't cost me a penny! Steve

Jessie The Jeep
Desperate times call for desperate measures, and when you are in pain, and you can stop the pain, it's not so hard! Steve
