  1. A talk of no doubt interest will be taking place this evening in London about this project. Perhaps one for more local members to attend: http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/london/whats-going-on/events/printing-the-legend/
  2. Spotted this months ago but didn't have chance to stop and take a photo until yesterday. It's been partially covered since I first saw it but it doesn't look in too bad a condition, however living outside won't help its cause. Can't get any closer to get any further details unfortunately.

    DO 17 raising

An update following it's arrival at Cosford over the weekend can be found here: http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/cosford/whats-going-on/news/dornier-do-17-arrival-at-raf-museum-cosford/ Scott
  4. Nice K2 which I hadn't seen before turned up at Derby Emergency Services Show over the weekend.
  5. Managed to catch up with this RL today at the Derby Emergency Services Show. A really nice vehicle. Scott
  6. Excellent couple of posts, have really enjoyed that update. Scott
  7. It appears to have happened again: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-22922039 Thankfully it looks like everyone is ok. Scott
  8. Spotted this one last weekend at Belper Steam show, don't know if its in the blog or not? Scott
  9. Don't know if this one has appeared on the gallery or not, spotted at Belper last weekend.
  10. Thanks for confirming that. Shows that these differing vehicles are still out there. Scott
  11. Love it Guy, I'm sure anymore pictures you have from your visit would be greatly appreciated! Scott
  12. There is some more information on the said vehicle on the original for sale thread here: http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?22914-Austin-Gypsy-1960 Scott
  13. That is a given when it comes to comparing the two vehicles Scott

    DO 17 raising

According to the reports the engines are still at the bottom awaiting to be lifted. Edit - Both of the engines have been pulled up according to reports on RAF Museum twitter page. A wing tip is to follow before the journey to Cosford this PM.
  15. One of the Freer's vehicles I think. Nptimber on the forum I'm led to believe. Thanks for the pictures Neil. Scott
  16. Fantastic to see that it's been brought and I look forward to following your progress. You'll have plenty of fun it that's for sure, like we have over the past 14 years with ours. Scott

    DO 17 raising

The lift is starting to take place as we speak. Although an hour ago it was said that it would be midnight, a change in the tide means they have been able to start the lift early. Will be interesting to see how it all ends up. Scott

    DO 17 raising

Another lift attempt will be made this afternoon according to the latest tweet from the RAF Museum's twitter team. Scott
  19. It's getting there Duncan. Looking forward to seeing it this coming weekend at Derby. We will be in attendance on the Sunday with the Gipsy. Scott
  20. Thanks for posting up the pictures. Always nice to see what attends different events. Got any of the vehicles which are in the background? Scott
  21. And some of the smaller items of interest: Civilian Snow Trac Scott
  22. We were going to make the trip down to Wicksteed but unfortunately other events combined that meant we wouldn't have gotten there until around mid-day at the earliest so we made the shorter trip up the A38 to Belper. Surprising how an event pretty close to home manages to throw up a number of vehicles which I haven't seen before. Military section wasn't massive however there were enough vehicles across the whole showground to keep us occupied all afternoon. Some of the larger bits of kit: A pretty good conversion on a Green Goddess:
  23. Saw these two beauties at Belper Steam & Vintage Event today. Both new ones to me. Scott
