  1. There doesn't seem to be one for FWD's, as far as I can see anyway. The main reason for starting this is that I was reading the ads section in the Classic & Vintage Commercials magazine last night and stumbled across the following advert: 'AMERICAN SUCOE FWD 1942, £1,500 ONO. 4x4 truck, reg CBN 189, originally petrol new 5LW Gardner diesel. Later used in showland. Needs restoration. North Nottinghamshire.' Now they don't come up for sale that often and I was wondering if anyone knew of this one. If there already is an FWD gallery then please merge this post into it MODS. In the meantime please see below a couple of pictures from the War & Peace Revival below.
  2. Its slowly getting there, keep up the good work. I'm enjoying seeing the updates on this one.
  3. Thanks for the replies all. Sort of answers my suspicions that it is more than likely a Thorneycroft Amazon.
  4. My dad has just returned from Malta, whilst he was on the island he spotted this lurking behind the wall. Unfortunately couldn't get any closer to identify it. Could it be a Coles Crane perhaps? It could of course be something civi, however thought it would still be of interest. Over to you guys! Scott
  5. Might be of interest to some; The QL has a new home now, might perhaps been seen at a few shows. Scott
  6. How about this for a spot then I was watching Permission Impossible: Britain's Planners last week and noticed a familiar looking vehicle when they were filming, if you look closely at 1.40 mins on this link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b03x19tb/Permission_Impossible_Britains_Planners_Episode_2/ you will see what I believe is a Pioneer. They don't go on to talk about it or anything, so does anyone know where it may be? Scott
  7. Welcome Steve. I concur with Dave, having stopped at Chateau Martragny in 2009 we will be doing so again this year. The only problem you may have is finding a place. We booked up at the turn of the year and had one of the last spots for the week by all accounts. However it's more than worth a try in ringing up as you never know. Otherwise no doubt the other options will be just as good. Scott
  8. Can't recall seeing this on here, might be wrong though: http://www.angelfire.com/ky/KyleAFC/photo.html
  9. Hello Bob, Excellent news. That is one more saved! As Rog says we always like to see pictures if you would like to share any. Scott
  10. I agree with Dave, this is a lovely place to stay. Although we do camp. We stopped here in 2009 and they've sorted us out again for 2014. Scott
  11. Noticed this OY has been for sale in the last two editions of Classic and Vintage Commercial Magazine, so it must not have sold at the sale. Hopefully someone can save what is a pretty rare vehicle. Scott
  12. Amazing what is out there and you just don't know it! Used to drive past that recycling place at least a couple of times a year over the lest decade or so when on the way to the Great Dorset Steam Fair and back. Thanks for sharing the pictures Robin.
  13. Lovely, thanks for sharing. Have always been a favourite of mine, shame there are so few left! Scott
  14. Thanks for the information Gordon, certainly seemed like a big exercise judging by the kit on show. Scott
  15. Travelling north to Gateshead yesterday from Staffordshire there were a number of convoys of military vehicles coming south. There must have been seven different convoys with anything from four to ten vehicles in each. The last lot were all coaches with Belgium flags on them so I can only presume they were the Belgium Army and had been on a training exercise somewhere up north. Anyone know anymore? Here are a few (bad) pictures which I took from our coach whilst heading the other way.
  16. That be this one, from the 2004 show. Excuse the poor quality, it was very early days of digital photography! Scott
  17. A Guy Ant Quad at that as well. A pretty rare vehicle I thought after a good number were lost at Dunkirk. Scott
  18. Nice AFS Commer here as well. http://s1250.photobucket.com/user/Intimidator2012/media/BARN%20FINDS-BUSH%20FINDS/SAM_9006.jpg.html?sort=3&o=97 Scott
  19. Thanks for that Richard. They say you learn something new every day and this proves the point! :-D:tup::
  20. Maybe Steve, I know we've been a bit lax recently however this has mainly been down to other clashes. Where is it in 2014? I'll get onto my dad . Sorry for hijacking the thread! Looking forward to more pictures.
  21. I've seen something similar on another Humber 'Box'. I think it means it was overhauled in Singapore in September 1953, however I could be completely wrong! Looking forward to seeing this thread develop. Scott
  22. Welcome to the wonderful world of Austin Gipsy ownership, can't beat it! Scott
  23. Indeed, in fact it is still on every evening on Yesterday channel 19 on Freeview (just looked and it's on now as I make this post!).
  24. On Tuesday tea time around 5.30pm, an FV432 on the back of a low loader heading north on the A1M just above the turning for Harrogate.
  25. Just booked our ferry, sailing from Portsmouth to Caen on Tuesday 3rd June and returning on 10th June. Cant believe it will be five years since we went to the 65th next year. Scott
