  1. The colour and shine of a pioneer depends very much on which period you would like it to represent? http://www.mafva.net/other pages/starmer camo.htm

    Welcome back!

Yes the new layout will take some getting use to, but I am glad this back online, I was starting to get withdrawal symptoms
  5. I am waiting for a reply from my friend
  6. One of my friends owns one here in Denmark, if that's any help? Any thing particular you where looking for?
  7. http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6644&highlight=Malhotra might help ?
  8. Found this, seems the German stole anything
  9. Clive, can you explain how to test it, I have a secondhand one I would like to fit to my champ, but would like to know if it works firstly.
  10. I am still a bit puzzled, what sort of emergency is it that you want to prepare it for? Since you want a water cannon wildfires, riots ?
  11. https://www.alcopa-auction.fr/voiture-occasion/fwd-4rm/camion-americain-plateau-modele-b-60637 isn't this fed of similar vintage. I wonder what sort of price range the Renault will be ?
  12. Hmm interesting, the couple of Stevens made ones I have seen here in Denmark have been two groves versions and they where delivered to the resistance via air dropping during the war. But they can of cause be from one "lot" or production run
  13. A funny feature is that they have a only two grove rifleing
  14. Very nice find, must be a fun addition to have specially with all those tools still with it.
  15. It looks to be in very good condition. And the rear canvas with disruptive pattern is really nice. a very nice find.
  16. Yes it's hard as a young person, to get in to the hobby, but it is possible my scammell, bedford and champ where all less than 2000£ when I bought them, though in project condition. And we can still find cheap running vehicles like gmc's can be found in Norway. The only reason why I could start, as early as I did, was that my father bought a farm so I had free storage. Now 10 years later I got my own house, and can fit a vehicle up to 15cwt size, and a couple of cars at home.
  17. That Guy looks to be in very good condition. Where did you find It? There are few Guy owner on the forum, that might be able to help.
  18. Yes people don't seem to be very interested in projects, except for german wartime vehicles, where it seems even the most derelict wreck can be sold at an high price. But there as also been a good influx of restored rare vehicle the last couple year or so, (possible people getting old and downsizing their collections) with might have shifted people from buying projects. The classic car market has also slowed down a bit, an specially after the brexit. I have tried to sell my FAT for some time now, and sadly Brexit havent improved the situation for me, as the devaluation of the pound just bump the price from 4000£ to 5000£ish, even though I lowered the asking price.
  19. I think originaly a big lot was bought in Belgium by one of the large dealers in Poland. One that both supplied governments and private collectors
  20. There are three diffrent cab types: 11, 12 and 13. the 12 is an modification/improved 11 cab, often call monkeyface the 13 was a new design, correcting the mistakes on the earliere cabs.
  21. I have studied the picture some more, and I think that it is a Banjo type rear axle, Chevrolet type, and not the Ford split axle. But it is not an definite answer on what make the truck is, because on some (at least early) Fords where fitted with Chevrolet axles. My 11 cab F15a is fitted with a Chevy rear axle and a Ford front.
  22. Hi The truck to the left in the picture is a 60CWT (3tonner) 13 Cab CMP. I would say the truck to the right was yes a 15cwt, 4x2 judging from the suspension height, with what I would say is a 2C1 steel rear body, and because of that body type I think it is a 13 Cab CMP. ( I cannot remember ever seeing that rear body on a 11/12 cab)
