  1. Regarding the "Original" Spitfires.. Its the data plate and substantial part of the front bulkhead.. reality is that most of the big rebuilds use little of the original machine. My impression on the Marder build was that he genuinely thought it was a wartime history german chassis that he was returning to its Original state. You can see where his tone changes when the "rivet counters " (his words) point out its never been a Marder. Just my opinion and he did a super job on the Stug so am quite sure this will be jaw dropping too..

  4. well if its anything like the german tanks recovered from the border bunkers ,they will it get "lost" and some general will be financially comfortable in his early retirement..

  8. I just checked my schedule engine oil in the gearbox and ep 90 in the transfer box
  9. I just ground a slot through the holes ,so I could use a screw driver. Obviously you grind the slot when the pin is out.

  14. Its actually rons stalwart thread on the aussie landrover site.. He calls the ultimate forward control... Its really good how he over comes the difficulties of rebuilding a machine built the other side of the world.
