Not much been happening. Have moved to Cornwall with both trucks now outside the Cornish weather is bleak to say the least. Not sure if its possible to to continue as my new storage location has no power or shelter... Also lost my spanner mate which made stolly work achievable... John

  8. Have you tried here:- http://g503.com/forums/ they also have drawings for pretty much every part on the old jeep
  9. Never Bought it .. But used to be fleeced by similar Mags. Flypast, Aeroplane, Landrover owner, landrover Monthly and practical classics to name but a few. Just regurgitated tripe with "experts" doing same old same old,a lot of money for 1 or maybe 2 articles of substance. Mainly adverts so voted with my wallet and abstain. Sure I missed them but they really were grossly overpriced for the content. Just my take.
  10. got this of the interweb oh and its a 135 euro deposit Meanwhile: a contract to build a nationwide electronic truck toll system was signed in Brussels on 28 July. A consortium majority owned by Germany’s Deutsche Telekom – Satellic – will install the infrastructure over the next eighteen months. The tolls will apply to all trucks 3.5t – replacing the current 12t+ Eurovignette system – initially on major routes with the option to expand. To start with the On-Board Units (OBU) will be picked up or dropped off when entering or leaving Belgium but will eventually be interoperable with those from other countries. The charges are still to be set. See more at www.viapass.be its just a way to divert you to holland or france
  11. I have found halfrauds batteries to be less than reliable...
  12. Unfortunately the campaign against aviation (CAA) is totally self funding. Therefore the cost will go up due to the extra reviews that they will have to do to cover their collective arses. The fact the headquarters is a at gatwick airport and could be anywhere in the UK obviously bares no relationship to there costs. My take on it is why should tax payers cover the costs of airshows... You want an airshow you pay for it..

  16. We had a V8 lwb soft top on 1312 flt in the Falklands at Christmas 1995 it was our Q wagon with a snow plough attachment. Q was our 24 hour quick reaction in case any of those nasty argies came back. I remember there were quite a few v8s in the falklands some even in the scrap yard and or surplus auctions at MPA.
  17. The point is without the military vehicles there is no show.. If you are providing an exhibit only and not a stall to sell things on why should you pay? If you are going to profit from being there then a fee is payable. surely the cost of transporting my Stollies to the show should exempt me from any charges in the show?
  18. I use Crouch... moved both my stollies from Norfolk to Cornwall http://www.crouchrecovery.co.uk/ ask for David
  19. Hi Paul Could you have moved my 2 stollies from Norwich to newquay ? one runner one not? I just used Mr Crouch.. twas not cheap but 2 men a big rig and 400 odd miles all add up I guess

  21. Another thread being scare mongered to death. Relax dudes changing a light bulb does not and never will mean your vehicle is not original.... Its maintenance.... changing the engine to one completely different and then its up to the courts to decide, not keyboard warriors on here. Your opinion like mine is an opinion not law and do you really think VOSA or the feds will be bothered if your leyland Hippo now has a Rolls royce eagle fitted? Only if its done badly and isn't safe /roadworthy.... that's the gotcha... safe or roadworthy.
