  2. In cases like this silk screen print on to suitable sticker remove the switches apply the sticker refit the switches. most sign writers would be able to make it for you.

  4. I thought the German paint was supplied to the troops as a paste .which was mixed with petrol or water to apply. Therefore the colours would vary wildly.
  5. Wire locking pliers do make it easy as does a twizzle stick but wire locking by hand isnt that difficult. its all the web.

  8. Seems Nick is saying the tank had been stolen from bourden museum.. and he may lose it. Found out yesterday the t54/69, Goldie we have been working every day on for over a month is stolen. Had the police checking the hull numbers on behalf of the military police and they matched one that had been stolen from Bourdon museum a few years ago. You can't shift a huge main battle tank with no tracks on with out lots of people knowing son several people must be involved. It looks like I'm the seventh owner since it's theft so I hope this helps me hand onto her. The military vehicle world is a small one so I have managed to track down every owner and the wheels of justice are turning,slowly but turning none the less The mod are after blood. The Tank stands me now as about 40 k now and still needs more time and money spending on her so it's time I stopped dead just in case and get a good solicitor on the case.A big shame because the project what's moving along well.

  12. Can you put it in oven to warm it up a touch say 50 degrees and try again?
  13. On Aircraft the electrical grounds are protected with sealant a thick heavy duty two part mix then it is painted blue to identify a earth point. If you use a silicon based sealant it must be one that does not give off acetic acid as it cures.the acid corrodes the joint. You can tell because you can smell vinegar.

  16. Well I have a proper project that might be available in that case. Its not road registered the engine is out and its totally rotten above the wheels. My intention has always been to repair it. Its a mk2 with bolt in windows. the tillers and wash board are the only things missing from the swim kit. But it ant pretty. It came with my other stalwart buy one get one free.It came with the engine lying in the back.
