  1. Had to take a non-Euro 4 or 5 low loader to Romford and again a few days later - £200 each time LEZ charge :wow: If we'd gone in at 11.30pm, unloaded and come out at 00.30 it would have been £400 each time as it is per 24 hrs from midnight.......
  2. No, I'm sure it isn't just you!!! If you regard it as" asking prices" alone, then fine. But to treat it as a realistic value guide is not overly helpful.
  3. :wow: Still got the jeep bonnet!
  4. How about putting a request for submissions (email / post) in the MVT magazine? Not everyone is on HMVF :n00b: or even the internet
  5. Yes, Jack could have asked any one of them.......
  6. Chris - is there a website for the collection at Burgdorf? I'm having trouble finding something in English. I would like to visit, but understand it is only open for group visits? Any information you can provide would be much appreciated! Tony
  7. When the view above the windscreen is green, push the stick FORWARD!!!!!!
  8. I think I saw him driving a new Fiat car last night.......
  9. There was a plan 2 years ago to redevelop the airfield site adjoining the race track at Snetterton - a hotel, conference centre, covered market, model museum and a military museum (which was presumably the tank museum guys). This development seems to have gone to ground - can't find out anything about its status.
  10. I think this is in Russia. Obviously works ok (with truck brakes off!).
  11. I'm sure you are right. Using Google Chrome at the moment on Lee's advice, that stopped a lot of forum problems.
  12. Nope, can't see them (not that I'm at all bothered ).
  13. I suspect this is a cubed plot to dieselise something (no donor engine), but I can't work out what at the moment...
  14. I wonder if the water sensor at the back (one wire) is a warning light - once temp limit reached it earths wire putting light on? The 2 wire sensor would be for a gauge.
  15. Now that prospectus is impressive!!!
  16. Now that is interesting, Lauren - it explains posts 37 - 40 on this thread ::-) http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?25150-Could-this-be-the-most-poorly-applied-Stencil
  17. An RAF unit at Brookside Garage, Bryncethin early 1980s: I wonder if this became the one in North Wales which went to Anglessey, with Explorer side boxes at rear of body?
  18. I saw this radiator cap embellishment on an old Bugatti at the Goodwood Revival, and decided to learn more. I found this site which explains it: http://www.olebill.zoomshare.com/3.html Worth a look - it encompasses USAAF and WW1 London buses!!
  19. What is going on with the Fiat posts to cause concern, please?
  20. Here are the Dutchmen doing it - seem to be more civilian than ex-military trucks. Looks like some serious sponsorship to run these big modern 8x8s. Do we have anything in the UK that compares to both this and the czech setups? (I'm aware of the various of-road trials run in the 80s using mainly Scammell Explorers and the like).
