  1. Welcomein. Now is the time to start talking around to a proper MV, A Dodge!
  2. Intrestingly, in the background of pictures of the wreckage of Comet G-ALYV at Calcutta in 1953, there is a WC51 or 52 on the ridge above the site. See Movitone News clip.
  3. Welcome in. You'll get your fill of all those on here.
  4. Off track entirely, Eohippus, The beautifully named Dawn Horse, was the second set of fossils found of the creature. There was another set wrongly assumed to be a rabbit, and named Hyracotherium. So according to the convention Bugs Bunny rules.
  5. Thanks! Was trying to remeber what the weapon was.
  6. Ah well, probably my mispent youth watching the goggle box. The Enemy THRUSH had a Vampir sight mounted on there rifles.
  7. Clive have you been watching the trailer for The Man Fron U.N.C.L.E. film then? Those of us of the age will know the T.H.U.R.S.H. gun.
  8. The only reason I can think of for the F position is in a directional device. A ground based based verson of VOR?

  10. Saw an old TK horsebox the other day! Ahh happy memories.
  11. Welcome in. There is a commercial conversion available for the exhaust system, worth the money. https://www.steveparkers.com/conversions/ He also does an EGR blank, worth fitting as well. Post pictures of the beast.
  12. Sounds a nice vehicle. Any pictures?
  13. Apparently the Megatherium was a prehistoric giant , elephant sized, sloth. Wonder if the original namer was thinking of Hyraxatherium, the first horse? (long tale about THAT name, but only of intrest to Hippophiles)
  14. Found this thread. http://www.worldwar1postcards.com/ambulance-car.php Seems there were a number of types donated. Though I notice the covers on the vehicles pictured have no sponsors. Anyone know if spornsorship names wer removed at the front? This is a picture from Autocar Magazine dated 1915 of a Sunbeam. Second one could be a Ford Model T.
  15. Welcome in. Started big then. Where do you go from there?
  16. A number of ambulances were donated by organisations. Sunbeams were an approved type of vehicle for this.
  17. Welcome in. What's the history of your 2a?
  18. Another good man gone to join his mates. Best of luck to all of them.
