  1. Intresting, the woman on the left has a P07. Now three P07 were built in .45 ACP for American military evaluation. In fact it wa sthe American's who gave the P07 the name Luger, for commercial reasons. None are known to exist now,. However an American firm did make 6 replicas, at around $100,000 each! PS Dear it does help to open your eyes. Though if she has just let loose a .45 ACP from that thing, as the old saying goes 'It'd cause flinch in a cigar store indian'
  2. Well, you won't be able to blow your brains out! Also thanks to 'Nanny' you can't buy enough Aspirin in a pack to do it.
  3. A decent breathable caravan, motorhome cover works well.
  4. Trouble is Mick the average Plod gets about half an hour on the Firearms and VCR and the 'Guidelines' are react first and worry later. If you check an early post I was attacked in my home last year. The Police were more interested in siezing my perfectly marked and FULLY LEGAL Bren and Sten gun. F^^&** all on the assailants, and about six weeks of hassle to get my de-Acs back. When your in hospital after an attack and thing only thing the DC sent to interview you is intrested in is your De Acs, it does make you wonder about our legal system.
  5. One other annoyance with the 200 Discovery, and it depends on the fitting this vehicle has. The clutch release fork. The rod sits in a cup on the fork and can push straight through! Problem is no warning. Bearmach do a reinforced fork for a few quid, but it is heavy work to change it. My first 200tdi was a rebuilt wreck much abused in its time with about 200,000 on the clock. I kept it for about 4 years. Eventually it came to the point where 'Is it worth spending money on?' I decide no and was going to split it. Then someone made an offer on it for a field truck and I sold it. To my suprise I saw it a year or so later still on the road! Clouds of blue smoke but still running. To amplify Degsey, check the water pump and the infamous P gasket that sets behind it. Quick tip, if your fitting a new fork losley cable tie the push rod in place around the fork it holds everything in place when you refit the clutch slave.
  6. Actually that was , and is, the situation. There is a years old nemonic. If you want to aggrevate the situation take your WIFE, Weapon. Imitation firearm. Firearm. Explosive. It is the VCR act that was tortologies.
  7. COO! I'm agreeing with Degsey. The 200tdi is a better lump than the 300. Much better lower grunt. I know somone who builds and races 4x4 internationally. He always chosses a 200 tdi as the base lump. The one problem with them is overheating. If they overheat the head goes. The lift pump also wears out, but at about £35 and 10 minutes to change not the end of the world. Also with any engine you don't know the history, Change cam belt! Again not the end of the world for cost or particullaly difficult. You can also tweack the injector pump quite easily, that does up the power.
  8. Also the home of the Cadre Noir. The place is definitly on my bucket list. But in this case mostly for the horses.
  9. If it looks like it could go bang= Treat it like it could go bang. The law as it stands if you use anything in the commision of crime with the intent to convince a victim it is a firearm= Firearm offence.
  10. From personal experience, common sense + Police and RIF's, De-Acs and airsoft,= not much seen. Know the acts well, be praperared to argue, and send a recorded delivery letter to the Chief Constable stating the law. That's how I got my de-acs back.
  11. No problem, the Dodge can tow both Jeeps.
  12. Not that simple Neil. The VCR speciffically excludes 'Realistic Imitaion firearms' if used in TV, film or dramatic productions. So in that case your covered.
  13. I'm trying to remember yesterday! :red:
  14. Welcome in. Post some pictures please.
  15. Having had personal experience of Police and de-acs, Arm for ankle (Read your own translation) is the first thought .
  16. Congratulations! They were built to last. My two babies are only 72.
  17. Welcome in. You should find more than you want to know around here.
