  1. Usual suspects Footman James, Cherished car insurance, what Roadsure is now.
  2. I had a very large hole problem in a Range Rover sump. Plas Steel, comes in a plastic tube. Rub in hand, wear gloves! till it goes grey and feels warm. Fix onto a clean surface. It worked fine for months. That should get you back on the road till you can find a new one.
  3. Don't know about I.O.M. and only one of the Channel Islands! Jersey is not EU though Gurnersey is. Other problem is you need a Jersey resident to be 'registerd keeper' of the vehicle. But, once registered you can either 1. Keep the Jersey registration, provided the vehicle goes back to the Island for a week or so every year, 2. Tranfer the vehcile to an English registration. All fully legal! If you are going to permenatly import the vehcile back, you will have to pay V.A.T. so have some recipt that values the vehicle low.
  4. The tank suit of the time was like a thick brown boiler suit. Surley Bovvy have pictures on there site? The memorial outside has the suit in great detail.
  5. Considering all the DOVE armoured vehicles sold at Witham's are 'outside EEc only' you don't have much hope. Mind you I know a way of keeping within the UK and still going outside the EEC. :cool2:
  6. Welcome pity it wasn't under better circumstances.
  7. Most of these often end up in the start menu. So every time you switch on they start. Switching the compiter off and forcing windows into a 'Safe Mode' start allows you to check the start menu and remove them. Ad Aware is an effective free proggrame to remove them them and Javacool Spyware Blaster to block them.
  8. Welcome, you'll find a lot of information on both here. If you can post pictures and details of the vehicles we'll see what can be turned up.
  9. Right Boy! Were all moving in! Currently have a Sthil chinsaw on the bench. Nice to be able to lift bits easily. :-D This si a useful site: http://www.global-data.co.uk/
  10. So the lsit will be 1 x small tub of marge, and large numbers of various types of beer. For trial purposes only of course. (you lot aren't going to let me forget this are you:blush: )
  11. OTE=Richard Farrant;264631]Bitter ? Could you use lager or mild if unavailable? :red::red: Eh it was ment to be 'butter'. Mind you in the evenings after the public have left..... Who knows it may work.
  12. Good old 3 in 1 works well. Petroleum jelly , a thin touch of copper grease? Funny enough on plastic zips and componets I was taught years ago to use bitter or margarine.
  13. Great stuff Gordon. Thanks for sharing, there are pictures to smile at, pictures to study for deatil of uniform, kit and vehicles. They are a delight!

Two essentials for an Military Vehicle. Tow rope and jump leads. If you don't have them you can't help people or people may not be able to help you.
